What’s new in Oasis montaj 9.10

Our comprehensive, intuitive and easier to use Coordinate System (CS) supports more standard projections and includes powerful new search functionality.
• New Projection CSs include Antarctic, Scandinavia, Papua New Guinea, Borneo, Brazil.
• Search by Geographic area, Standard IOPG/EPSG terms and Standard ESRI IDs.
• Display standard codes where applicable.
• Search groupings by country, latitude/longitude and standard CS name.
• Refine search with helpful hints.
• Access Favourites-mode for user defined CSs.
• Add custom local datum transform.
• Push the current CS to a different file.

Significantly better visualisation, QC and processing workflows increase your functionality and usability of the renamed former Induced Polarization Extension.

3D array plot visualisation improvements:

Increase flexibility with two new space domain convolution filters – Vertical continuation and Laplacian 9x9.
Reduce short wavelength noise by applying an upward continuation or sharpen subtle features by applying a downward continuation. The Laplacian filter highlights regions of rapid intensity change and is used for edge detection.

Work faster and improve the quality of your airborne geophysics data by performing a velocity QC test either individually or by batch. This tool flags segments of the survey track where velocities are outside the project specification.
• Now the plotting of the QC flags can be customised.
• Define the offset, colour and thickness of QC traces.

Improvements to the new Geophysics and 2D Filtering workflows introduced in November 2020 make usability smoother.

Matched Filtering
• Set the width of the moving spectrum window from which equivalent depths are calculated.
• Adjust depths to the data source (magnetic/gravity).

2D Filtering – display the filled grid without opening the interactive filter definition.

1D Filtering – scale filtered and input profiles separately for a better, dynamic display range.

Organise and share uploaded data better with the ability to create and select folders in the Seequent Data Room, while still retaining the option to upload to your root folder.

Use and learn UX-Analyze much easier with our new intuitive menu structure, advance through workflows with all new menus and updated help.

Useful for ground surveys, you now have a ramp-off or step-off function for ease of use when defining the waveform when modelling TDEM data.
New Regularisation method for DCIP, FDEM and TDEM models
Increase data handling flexibility with the ability to set the initial regularisation parameter to restart and continue a previous inversion.

There is a new URL address to access public data in Seeker: which is the default for Oasis montaj 9.10. We will be removing the old URL in six months, so you can either manually update the URL to the new address in older versions of Oasis montaj or upgrade to 9.10 to avoid any disruptions.
